A Waterford-based foundation raising funds for special causes

The Juniors for Juniors Foundation is currently raising money to support the vital,
life-saving work of UHW children’s ward. With your help, we can make positive changes to
the lives of children and their families in need of a little extra care. Funds raised help buy
much-needed equipment for the ward and upgrade hospital facilities to become a more
inviting and child-friendly place to be.

So far, in just one short year, together we achieved: 4 brand new and modern peadiatric
beds, an Easter Egg corporate sponsorship, and a space-themed wall art installation!

 

Juniors for Juniors Foundation's Mission is to bring comfort and solace to young patients of UHW, by mobilising and raising awareness with children and our inner child to raise funds for the children's ward

Luckily for us, children are always ready to get involved and help others — but some charity campaigns require a few extra pairs of hands!

Parents, teachers, community organisations, and local businesses — your contribution always helps us to reach more people. Whether you can give time, money, or even just some new ideas — all that matters is your desire to help. There’s really no limit to what you can do, but here are some fun ideas to get you started:

 

  • School/club events and campaigns
  • Teddy bear picnics (for our younger philanthropists!)
  • Marathons/community sporting events
  • Bake sales/bazaars

Where do the funds go?

Currently, Juniors for Juniors is focused on raising funds that go directly to the Children’s
Ward at University Hospital Waterford. When a child is admitted as a patient to hospital,
the world can become a much smaller place. Our main goal is to improve the
child-friendly aesthetic of patient rooms and supply brand new, comfortable, modern cots
and beds for the children admitted. These children and their families deserve some home
comforts during their hospital stays — and this is what we aim to provide.

However you want to get involved,
you can be sure that there are people who’ll
appreciate it!
