Even though Irish hospitals and other healthcare institutions work hard to provide the best
possible care that they can for their patients, unfortunately, state funding is rarely available
for improvements that go beyond what is considered to be “essential”.
Even though healthcare providers advocate for the type of work we do and see how much
of a difference minor adjustments to hospital environments can make — funding for these
projects is unlikely to come from anywhere other than the kindness of strangers for the
foreseeable future.
